4 Hweel Slip Regulation

I am wondering why GM does not offer a 2 or 4 wheel slip regulation system on their trucks, similar to what Nissan uses on Frontiers, Xterras and Titans. The way it was explained to me, the wheel loosing traction is automatically braked by an electronic controller, causing the traction to be transferred to the opposing wheel, kinda like off-road traction control. 4WD vehicles have this slip regulation on all 4 wheels. Seems to me that this is a great system. In addition to this, Titan trucks and Xterras equipped with an off road package come with a manually activated locking differential. Also a good feature.

Anybody familiar with these and how effective they are? I would like to see something similar on new GM trucks as well. Especially a manually activated locker would be nice.
