07 Sierra Block Heater Cord

Where do you guys have your block heater cord fed through? I just plugged my truck in for the first time, and the cord isn't long enough to feed up to my hood.

Thanks.

i still can't find the d**n thing!!

Open your hood, stand in front of the driver's side headlight and look down behind the fan. It's coiled up with a cover over the plug right down by a couple of other cables. It has a zip tie around it.

I don't know about anyone else but my block heater cord was hooked on the bar right next to windshield wash. Its long enough to reach out between the grill and driverside headlight.

Not sure if mine's even worth digging it out and plugging it in. The owners manual says it has a thermostatic switch in the plug that shuts it off above -12C (10deg F). It has to be pretty cold to get below that.

I recently was wondering the same thing, and got some great ideas in my post. I put the link below, but it might not work. If not, just search for my topic. Down by the tow hook is working great for me!

Reach your arm straight down beside the washer fluid tank. You'll feel a cable. Look around right there, it's coiled up neatly with a cover over the plug. If it's not there, you might want to ask the dealership if they forgot to put it in. That's always a possibility too.

Well, I took a look today (now that there's some light), and I dropped the cord straight down, then fed it up in front of the radiator and fed it out through the grill. I have the cap wrapped around one of the vertical slats on the grill to hold the cord in place.
