Remote Started 1997 K3500

the gm remote starter on my 1997 gmc k3500 is acting up, nomally when you hit the start button the lights would flash twice then it would start, now they flash four times but it doesnt start. i hear stuff clicking under the dash as normal but the fuel pump doesnt kick on ect. any ideas? thanks in advance for any help.
