I'm looking to remove all badges off the tailgate and doors on my 08 Sierra. I was wondering if they're all stick on? Is the usual blowdryer and fishing line the way to go? I'd like to remove the door trim as well. If this is the way, can someone suggest a way to remove the excess addhesive without ruining the paint?

Yeah they are just like everyother badge out there. use a heat gun and fishing line then to get the extra adhesive off use some goo gone mineral spirits or bug and tar remover

Yee Haw!

Thank goodness the days of location pins are gone from emblems. I took all of mine off the gate in about 5 minutes. Haven't gotten around to doing the doors yet. I kinda like the SIERRA badging.

A couple of years back I was ripping the badges off of the wife's 06 Accord SE and d**n if the honda H isn't put on with pins! Had to buy one to replace it (after I broke it getting ot off) and they charged me 40 bucks! Everything but the H came off easy. Looks really clean... EVEN though it is a Honda.

Catching fish, to eat for dinner after all that hard work!

Or, some guys use it to slide behind the emblem to help pull it off after heating it up with the heat gun.

I took the emblems and side moldings off my Sierra. Everthing looked good after some cleaning

with Goo Gone. But, under the molding on the passenger side, there was a whole bunch of small scratches, almost like sandpaper or something. F-ing GM.
