Quick Help With Decision!

My truck is goin in the shop wednesday morning to get my exhaust redone. It will be true duals 2.5'', no cats, and 4'' tips out the corners. But the guy doing it wont do the no cats no mufflers set up because of... well plain enough cops are dicks about that s**t. But i am NOT looking into buying two cats (125$ a piece). I would like to keep the price low as possible. He said he could do glasspacks and no cats, and then he tried describing some muffler to me that sounded like a crossover but was oval? Any help and recomendations would help alot. And my truck is a 94 k1500 5.7tbi. And if you possibly know what muffler he is talking about please let me know.

As far as I know, the cats are the least restrictive part of your exhaust...And also (as far as I know) removing them is against federal law...Which is why most shops won't do it.

 

As for the "oval" question, several muffler manufacturers make oval mufflers.
