Hi all,

I've got a 08 silverado I purchased a polished bowtie emblem any one know how to take the stock one off the grill? Thanks Doug

No, there are two tabs that squeeze to the center and it pops out. The new bowtie can then be put on with a nut behind the bowtie. I took the top plastic shroud cover off to do mine.

They just snap in, the new billet one bolts on...just remove the upper shroud and you can get to it without removing the grille, but if you wanna remove the grille its easy too.

I just switched mine out with a billet emblem and did not have to remove the shroud or the grill. Basically just used a flat head screwdriver to push the tabs inward, one side at a time. Snapped out in a matter of seconds. You'd spend more time removing/assembling than if you just stuck your hand down there.

Well some of us have big arms that cant squeeze down by the hood latch opening. The shroud is only held on by pushpins. A flat blade screwdriver has those off in about 45sec.
