Need Help Choosing A Tonneau Cover

I'm looking for a soft tonneau cover for my 2008 GMC. I tried the Extang Trifecta but was not pleased with the fit at the tailgate. What have you found that would clear the tailgate cap? Any feedback positive or negative would be appreciated.

Have used my ACCESS roll cover on two pickups, first the 2003 & then transfered it to the 2006, and have had no problems with it. They do leak dust from around the tailgate but that is no fault of ACCESS as they all do. There is a tailgate seal kit but I have not gotten one. One advantage is that they help increase the gas mileage, maybe 1 mpg, at highway speeds. I like the ACCESS.

I have the RollBak cover and love it. As mentioned, it leaks a bit back by the tailgate, and thats it. Like that I can roll it back, and put tall items in my bed-whereas a truck cap would have to be totally removed. I like that it locks in place, and no one can cut it open-like a soft cover could. The security of a truck cap, the ability to haul large items with ease of a soft cover!!

I've been thinking about a hard roll-up cover for my truck, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet on that decision. I am curious about something, though. Do the hard roll-up covers rattle or make noise? For example, while going over bumps or maybe while going down the road on a windy day? It seems like the hard surface could be prone to rattling or shaking around, perhaps making noise that could transmit back into the cabin...?

Just ordered my second Access Limited cover today. They are pretty expensive for a soft cover but IMO they are worth the difference in price. I just ordered mine from aztrucks.com today. They have 10% off orders over $100. That saved me $50!

The limited comes with the tailgate seal. I never used it on my old truck and have it laying around somewhere.

Please post some pics when you get it installed. Are you planning to install yourself?

Another vote for Access. I have an Access Lorado cover and it works smoothly and looks really good. It is a little lower profile than the standard Access cover but is otherwise the same well made product.

Can do. the cover installed basically looks like Zembones cover. The only real difference is his might be alittle lower profile, a different lock system on it and the d rings to hooks things to ( although I wouldn't use them to secure a load) .

Installation is easy enough to do yourself with a few wrenches. Hopefully I will have it by the weekend.

This is true. There isn't a lot of difference in the look at all. In fact unless you see them next to each other it is hard to tell one from the other. Enjoy!

I had the Extang RT tonneau cover on my old truck and liked it so much that I bought the same model for my new truck. I like the low profile design, they're very easy to install and use and they are well built, in my opinion. Here's a link:

Whatever you decide on, I hope you're happy with it!

The RollBak cover makes no noise. There are hard plastic rails in the tracks on the bedrail, that the cover rides on, so there is no rattle at all.
