Anyone Else?problems New Truck

Maybe it's just me, BUT is there anyway to STOP air from coming into the truck when on the road(yes it's OFF)? If i reset the ac to "recirculate" it slows but blows air. When i reverse does anyone else have the d**n thing "stay" stuck in Neutral even though it says "R" on the IC. Moving the lever slowly moves it back. Also is the light sqeak while the air cond is on hi normal? I;ve read that it's pretty common.

Others may corect me.

I think since the disappearance of vent windows, air change is constantly on.

My 1990 Chevrolet 1500 still has mechanical floor/heat/defrost settings. With the advent of all this stuff being electrical - there is no off/off. Only an 'almost' off setting.

This is progress, correct?

If you set it to the vent, and close the vent, it might work for you.

The air is simple....press recirc with everything off and it wont blow anything...works on 99-06 too :(

I asked GM the same thing. The answer is... NO! You have to reset it every time you start the truck back up, along with the fog lights, the seat heaters..BLA BLA BLA.. :(

It drove me crazy for awhile, now I just gave up on it. Learn to live with it. I don't know why GM need to makes things so difficult? :)

That's one of the things I do like about my Toyota Camry...Everything stays the way you left it until YOU change it. SO SIMPLE!!!!
