Here's a solution to the open console on WT new body style trucks. I can make them with a ruberized black coating to match the ebony interior for $35+shipping. I can also send them raw pine for $30+shipping, you can paint it or stain it to match or accent as you see fit. The one pictured has had children and my dog climbing across it for 3 months, it has handled the abuse well. It also makes a great writing surface. The lid does not move around when left down but could fall off if the seat is fliped up without removing it as it does not latch or lock in any way. I am a self employed trim carpenter and quality is first priority. You can also check my Ebay feedback to validate my online buying/selling reputation(jasonc3224;100% for almost 200 transactions).

I don't have hinges on mine. I often times use mine as a writing tablet while standing outside the truck with customers(not using the hood like on old truck).Hinges could be added easily to any side of lid. It would need those push in/threaded clips for the console, I think screws will strip if installed directly. Today I'll look into getting the parts as an option.
