Steering Wheel Controls In 07 Nbs Silverado

I usually find this stuff out by trial and error, but I thought I'd ask here first to see if somebody in the know can tell me.

 

Is it possible to add the audio controls to a truck that did not come w/ them from the factory? If so, is it a simple plug and play or is there extensive wiring involved?

if you already have Cruise Control - then yes ..

if you dont have Cruise Control - i have no idea

I have CC. Can it be done w/o replacing the steering wheel. The switch can be purchased seperately for about $25. I'd rather do this than spend $200 on a new steering wheel.

Found this thread if anyone else is looking for this info here. Guess the new steering wheel is the only way to go.
