2002 Sierra Denali Cd Changer Acting Screwy

I JUST got a replacement CD changer from a 60K less mi 02 SD, I plugged it in and it illuminates the white light. But I get no amber lights or green lights...

 

Also I dont get a error message, or a little CD icon or anything, it just sits there making noise like its shuffling through disks.

 

 

Any good news for me?

Are you sure it wasn't an 03 that it came out of? If it was, that sounds about right. I tried a changer from an 03 in my 01 and it did EXACTLY as you describe. The 03+ radios, parts, etc, are not compatible with 02 and earlier. I think the 03 has metal mounting tabs, and the 02 and earlier has plastic mounting tabs. Also you can look on the date of manufacture sticker. If it says it was made any later than 6-02 or 7-02, its most likely an 03.
