Molded Hood Protector

Would anyone have any photos of the GM Molded Hood Protector for the nbs sierra or silverados? I've got an 07 nbs silverado 2500HD and can't decied whether or not it's worth the $ to get the hood protector and if so, in chrome, smoke or my truck color, victory red. I've got the LT2 package w/ black full length n-fab nerf bars, black handles and black trailer mirrors if that helps.

 

Photos would be helpful. Opinions are appreciated.

I've always been a fan of the smoked ones myself. One other option is to buy a clear one and then paint the inside with a spray can of factory color paint to match the truck...

 

I don't know about the NBS trucks, but from '99 on up, the hood/bug deflectors caused an anoying rattle in the windshield molding because of the disruption in airflow. Dbl sided tape is needed between the molding and windshield to stop the rattle. Very easy fix.

 

I've put them on every truck I've owned just to protect the hood from stone chips etc...

I have a 1500 nbs with GM hood protector. IMO you can get the same thing for alot less aftermarket (mine doesn't even say GM on it). I don't notice any noise from adding mine though. My pic's may not help being on a 1500.
