Feels Like 4wd Is On When Backing Up

Can someone give me an opinion here. I'm aware that when you have the 4 wheel drive on and backing up in a sharp turn the front wheels will feel like they are climbing up themselves and this is normal. However if the truck is in 2Hi with 4 wheel drive turned off will it still feel like it's climbing itself. I'm thinking that even though the 2Hi is lit it is acting like it is stuck in 4 wheel drive. Anyone care to give me an opinion as what might be going on. Is this normal? Thanks in advance.

Try putting it in 4lo or 4hi and drive in reverse and see if it feels the same or worse. If it feels exactly the same you may have an issue.

When was the last time you use your 4x4? Also do you have any problem in forward on sharp turns?

I have not had an issue the last time I used 4WD which was last week, It feels fine going forward in sharp turns. I will put it in 4Wd and do some testing to see if it stays the same or changes. Thanks for the ideas.

OK, I went out and did the test in 4HI and 4LO and 2HI and there is a definate dif. in 4WD versus 2WD. It appears to be working fine after all. Thanks for the advice on how to test it out. It's appreciated.
