4wd Shift Effort?

I'm wondering if this is normal...if the truck is in motion and I go to shift it from 2WD to 4WD High while moving, it takes a LOT of effort to pull the lever down. If the truck is stationary, shifting it into 4WD is easy though. The GM dealer told me it's normal...but I'm not sure I believe them. I mean, I could probably live with it...but if my wife ever had to drive the truck and had to shift it into 4WD, I'm not to sure she could because of the amount of effort it takes.

I've got 15,000kms on it right now and the effort level hasn't changed since it was brand new.

It is harder to shift to 4WD when it's cold... as it warms up it gets easier to shift. I just leave my truck in 4WD when I park it (in the winter) just in case I need it to get out of the driveway.
