Gmc Denali Xt Concept

I'm a religious reader of LeftLaneNews.com and AutoBlog.com.

They've both posted pictures and a bit of info about the concept GMC Denali XT.

I'm just not too crazy about the whole unibody/truck thing. Something like a Holden Ute (maybe the soon to be Pontiac ???) but only as a 'sports car' type vehicle. It is pretty mean looking though. The taillights and headlights are really neat but not sure I'm too crazy about the 'concept 28s' on it.

So, what are your thoughts?

Looks a bit like "Ridgeline meets Kawasaki Ninja".

Luckily, it's purely an extreme styling exercise for now. In this case "extreme" stands for "Extremely Ugly" It looks like it will be at the 08 Chicago show to judge public response. Hopefully there will be GM barf bags available.

Looks like a Denali gave the business to a Ridgeline. Hopefully GM is trying to reaffirm what not to do. Good news is this, if any of you have young children with even the slightest artistic talent, GM may be looking for new designers soon!

With fuel prices going the way they are, I think you're looking at the future of trucks. Yes, there will be always be a market for work trucks, but my guess is the government will eventually implement a fuel consumption tax on them, or alternatively, gas prices will go up high enough to prevent most people from buying them.

Hate to say it but we should all enjoy it while we can, I'm afraid we'll see more "trucks" like this in the future.

looks like a cross between a ridgeline and a 300.. im not diggin it. It needs to stay in concept.

Could be a spoof from a previously designed four door El Camino. IT's not a bad looking vehicle, I'm not crazy about the fog lights.

If it helps gm meet cafe by migrating current pick-up buyers that really don't need them, while allowing the current 900's to stay or grow in capability; then I'm all for it. If I didn't need to tow, I'd be interested in it.

I agree I think it pretty tough looking!!
