What Is The Class 2 Id/name For The 4wd Module?

Anybody know what is the Class 2 ID/Name is for the 4WD module? I have a 2003 Silverado 4WD. During the recent storm storms, "Service 4 Wheel Drive" or something similar came up on the DIC(driver information center) while I was in Auto 4WD. After this happened, pushing the buttons on the dash would not allow the 4WD to go back to 2WD. I pulled the vehicle to the side of the road, cycled the ignition, and the problem went away. I could change from 2WD, to A4WD to 4WD High or Low.

 

This has happened twice to me recently.

 

I checked the diagnostic codes with my laptop, but didn't see the 4WD module. Maybe it's not a Class 2 module, but I would have assumed it would be.

Replace the switch, it's about $50 at the dealer. This is a very common problem on the GMT800.

+1 to that. I had the same trouble with my 2000. Bought a new switch no more problems.

I'm still curious why the 4WD module didn't show up. I'll have to compare to my dads truck as he has the same model.

It should be shown as ATC (active transfer case).
