Engine/tranny Vibration At Idle......

Just got a used 2007 1500 4WD with the 6.0. At idle, with the brake on and in drive, it seems to vibrate/surge a little. Feels like the truck wants to move, or like the AC is putting one heck of a drain on the engine. Is this normal for this engine/tranny setup? It's been awhile since I've owned a GM product.

New Body Style or Classic? How many miles? At this time of year it is quite possible you got bad gas or water in your tank. Use a high quality FI cleaner like Techron or Red Line. I use Lucas UCL and mine purrs like a kitten.

Mine does it in reverse, not so much in drive, but I have heard its pretty much normal.

I get the exact same thing when standing still in drive.

I have noted the same things since the truck was new. 74k and hasnt changed a bit.

Mine seems to do it also but I've noticed if my foot is firm on the brakes it wont do it.It only does it when pressure is lightly applied.My two pennys.

New Body Style. It only has 18k on it. Thanks guys. I'll ask about it at the next service, but it's good to know that it's pretty much normal. Changed out the air filter yesterday, and I'll try some FI cleaner, but my guess is that neither is going to do much. The air cleaner hasn't so far.

My burb does that too, 6.0 and 4L80E. I am curious if it's normal. What should idle rpms be? It feels like its misfiring almost.
