Abs Warning Light

I have a 2001 2500 Suburban with 85K miles and the ABS warning and Brake lights intermittently go on while driving. The brakes function normally and I do not hear the ABS pump running or anything, so I am thinking this must be some sensor. What is the first thing to check?

Codes

Does a code show up under the OBD-II port? Or is there a separate tool that reads the body ECM?

I think you need to get it diag'd somewhere .

Try to see if autozone or advance auto parts will check the code for you. There are 3 Advance stores and two autozone stores in my area thay do it for free so maybe one in your area will too. good luck! :flag:

they can't. I tried Autozone, not sure about Advance but they didn't have a code checker for ABS. they said everything showed normal on mine. I'm sure mine is just an ABS sensor that needs cleaned.
