I purchased a 2007 (New Body Style) 2500 HD the other day and I want to install XM radio in it. Does anyone make a kit for this that just plugs into the back of the head unit? Are the parts available at the dealership? I have OnStar, does this mean the antenna is already there?

GM Accessories makes a kit that lists for $225. It includes a new antenna that has both XM and Onstar outputs. The one that's on your truck would only have Onstar, unless you also had XM, which you currently don't.

 

I installed the kit in my '07 Sierra, and it took me about an hour and a half. The hardest part is getting both screws in that hold the receiver bracket in behind the glove box.
