4x4 No Front Engagement

i have a 1995 chevy blazer s10 style 4x4 when i switch to 4x4 either high or low the transfer case and the front driveline both engage but the front diff does not there is a bracket under the battery tray that holds the actuator and has a eylet for the cable to feed through the eyelet for the cable has rusted away will this keep it fron engaging the front diff. any help would be greatly appreciated

is there any quick fix or do i just replace the bracket

Cut it off and replace the bracket. Paint it with some rust prohibiting paint.
