Joe Daddy Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 My 2003 has been getting 9 lately. I'm going to check out a diablo sport and K&N, the lose the muff for a after cat straight pipe and see if that helps. CCSB 4x4 6.0
Rog Man Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 My 06 2500hd gets 16 mpg highway or city it doesn't seem to care. The only thing i did was go to a 265/75/16 from the stock 245. Now once winter hits and 4x4 is engaged thats a whole different story, then it drops to single digit mileage.
Prokopchuk_9 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 with a 6.0 you aint gonna get much, id start with cold air intake, synthetics font and rear diffs. and royal purple ATF...that'll help you a bit too.. other than that 1-12 MPG is about the norm for a 6 litre

pappastratos Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Bumping this one back to life !! I recently bought a nice 2002 2500HD 4x4, owned by a elderly guy who passed. This truck was garage kept ! Got it a good deal plus it ran better than any of the 1500's at the same year I looked at. BUT the mileage stinks !! Luckilly its just a weekender. I bought mainly to pull my 19' boat & to go to yard sales & lowes. Thought about selling for something smaller, but it runs & shifts good. You can literally watch the gas guage move !!
