I need a blend door actuator for a 2001 Suburban with the rear climate controls. Is there a different part number for trucks with rear climate controls? I need the correct part number for my truck My VIN IS : 3GNEC16TX1G181018 if its needed to get the correct part number for me. Also, I might as well change the cabin air filter while I'm under the dash, so I'll need the part number for that as well. THANKS

anybody?

Pretty technical. Might have to get your dealer parts guy involved.

Considered a local boneyard? I bet a ton of money could be saved on an item that rarely dies. Just a thought.

But thats just it, this part doesnt "rarely die". From what I've resaerched on here, it seems this actuator goes out quite often. Some members on here have had it go out several times. I even found a part number on here and found out that it less than 50 bucks. But the part number I found was for a 99-02 sierra/silverado. I'm just trying to find out if its the same for SUV's with the rear climate controls. I know some AC parts are different, just trying to see if this is one of them.

AND just to make sure the correct part I'm speaking of, it's the actuator just behind the center console in the very bottom of the dash, just above the transmission hump. Not the actuator way up inside the dash. This actuator just controls the temp (from hot to cold) , not change the airflow to the defoster, etc.

Send www.gmpartsdirect.com an email w/ your VIN and what you are looking for and within a couple of days they'll send you the part number.

Thank you, John. By the way, your post on relacing your actuator was very informative. Good description calling it a "baby grand piano". I found several other post that instruct you to NOT plug the harness back in until you get the actualor completly mounted. That will get it out of alignment and maybe even cause it to fail. That me be why several people have had to replace it more than once.
