Kyb Or Bilstein

I am looking to replace the shocks on my 2001 1500 Silverado 2wd ext cab. I can get a set of 4 Bilstein HD shocks for ( $251.80 minus 10% discount ) $226.62 from Shockwarehouse.com or I can get a set of KYB Monomax shocks for $208 from Summitracing.com. Any suggestions or recommendations. I am leaning toward the KYBs and saving $20.

I definetly agree, they will probably cast a little more, but are worth it.

the KYBs will yield a smoother ride than the HD bilsteins, but they are both very good choices though.....I had the monomax's on my old truck and loved 'em

If thats the case, I think the KYBs would be my best choice. Thanks for the responses.

One other suggestion to look at .. I went with Rancho Rsx's and Love them...

Ran several sets of Bilstien HD shocks in my old Tahoe. Never ran KYB in the truck but I did put them in a minivan with decent results. The Bilsteins SIGNIFICANTLY improved handling particularly cornering with a SLIGHTLY firmer ride on the highway. Overall WAAAAY better shock than oem.
