Train Horns In '00 Stepside

Hey, I installed my train horns this weekend and thought I would show my install for any of you that are interested. I lucked out with having a step side as I can keep my spare. They are loud but not as loud as I want them to be (considering another set on the opposite side eventually )

 

The black wheel well cover covers all this so it is hidden from view . . .

nah, the whel well liner is between the tire and the horns.

Ahh, ok I see now. That's a sweet instal. The pic shows the horns without the liner or we wouldn't be able to see the horns.

 

Do the horns get muffled much by the liner?

"because I can" . . . I HATE ppl running red lights and that is my primary reason . . I normally am in the middle on an intersection by my house and have to wait for some jacka$$ to run the red. . . Also for when ppl cut me off and tailgate me . . and I got a good deal.

 

Im also modding them so I can use the compressor to fill my tires . . .

Ok, so I dont understand, doesnt your truck already come with a horn? What diffrence does a louder horn make? I am sure the person will continue to cut people off, tailgate, and run red lights. Just my .02

This horn is for driving in reverse. He doesn't have to look over his shoulder when backing out of his driveway - he just has to lay on the horn!

Dan, I love it I'm thinking about doing the same thing on my truck. Can you give us a little more info, like how much they cost, where you got them, and how they're powered?
