Stock Speakers To Bose-stock Steroe To Bose

I just bought a 05 K2500 crew cab pickup. Speakers are the larger door speakers in front and they don't say Bose on them. I am assuming I have the plain stereo system. If I replace all speakers with Bose speakers, will I improve sound? My question basically is, how do I know if I have a bose sound sytem? Is the bose sound system just the speakers, or is it a diffferent dash stereo also? Thanks

Your head unit should say bose, my advice, take it all out, nobody likes bose....at least i never. Take it all out and put aftmkt in.;) and all the speakers should be 6.5" i believe if its a crew cab, components in the front mid/tweet in the back

Yeah, it would say bose on the dash stereo and on the speaker grills. And about converting to the bose system, its not worth the trouble. WAAAAY too much involved for the sound you would get. The bose system is a bit better than stock, but not much. You'd be better off, and cheaper, to just replace everything with aftermarket components. Or at least just upgrade the speakers, that would be a big improvement alone.
