Left Rear Door Ajar

Does anyone know, or had this problem with their crew cab?? The door is obviously not still ajar, almost everytime I get in and start it, then put in gear that warning keeps coming on, I then have to hit the gas button symbol on my steering wheel to turn it off, I also have to override my interior lights as they will remain on. Thanks so much for any help!!!

Sounds like a Bad Door Switch....although I can't remember where those are at on those Crew Cabs....but basically it is what signals the Dome Lamp to Turn Off and also send the Signal to the I/P regarding whether or not the Door is Ajar...

I greatly appreciate the advice but would you possibly know anymore about the door switch? How access it, or anything like that!!

The switch is of the plunger type, so it would be located on the hinge side of the door.

Unfortunately, the only thing I could come up with was, to apply WD-40, when the plunger is depressed.

One complaint was it will attract dirt, but it helped for about a year.

I am currently experiencing the same problem. Any idea where to purchase the plunger at? Online searches are not getting me any results.
