Courtesy Lights Wont Shut Off...

Hello there..i have a 91 sierra and the other day i went to go start it and the battery was dead, after boosting i noticed the interior lights and the cargo lights were on. I cant get them to shut off, unless i pull the fuse and sometimes after a night i put the fuse back in and it works for a few minutes but then they come back on and stay. So i purchase 2 new door jam switches and they did not help. Cleaned up all ground points that i can find. When i push the door jam switch the light dimms but does not shut off, with the doors close and you move the dimmer to the on spot it makes the light brighter. I tried a junk yard dimmer switch but it is the same as mine. However sometimes when i am moving the dimmer switch the lights dim and sometimes flicker. Do you think the dimmer switch is screwed? Is ther anything i can try to pinpoint the issue?
