My Truck Reset Itself.....

Recommended Posts

after I washed it today. :) I put it in reverse to back out of the garage and the mirrors tilted down did not know why but backed out anyway. Then I noticed my seat was closer to the steering wheel than when I got out before. In the end the truck has went back to what seems like the default settings even the home-link garage door opener cleared the programming for my door opener. Anybody have any ideas why it would have reset it self.

Oh and the temp for the heater was at 31C.

Very strange as to why it did this. I reprogrammed everything and am waiting to see if it stays that way.

Did you do something naughty to it? Maybe it's trying to block out the bad memories.

Hey Daddy... how 'bout a nice slice of Clown Pie-chart? :)

Hey Zem no the radio presets stayed programmed. It just seems like the settings done through the DIC were sent to default. And I didn't spray water under the hood.

Also " No I treat her with respect and tenderness", do something naughty to her I don't think you guys are real truck lovers. Send your trucks over to me and I'll show them how they should be treated. :):):)

Hey Boston, no the second fob is not being used and it happened sometime while I was washing the truck. Only thing that I just thought of was wiping the dash down maybe pressing the dic buttons could have somehow reset the programmed settings? I hope that's all it was.

Very possible. Was the key in the accessory position while you were doing this so you could listen to the radio or whatever? I'm pretty sure there's a "default option restore" setting in the DIC.

I was thinking the same thing. There is a reset option.
