I have it listed on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=140219078047

I recommended this item to a coworker because I have one in my 2007 GMC Sierra and it works great so he bought it on eBay from the same seller. I did not realize it will not work on 2008 vehicles, therefore it did not work on his 2008 Chevrolet Silverado. This auction includes the PXDP3 and the PXH3GM1X harness for units with factory XM radio. The packaging was opened because a local car audio shop attempted to install it. The unit is working but did not have all functionality when installed in a 2008 vehicle.

So it is back on eBay - just make sure to read the vehicle compatiability section or you might end up like me.

Will this work with a 2007 Silverado NBS?

If so how much does he want for it??

Pete

I have a 2007 Sierra NBS without XM and I have the same item installed except with a different harness (PXH3GM1). The one I am selling is the one for Radios with XM.

-PXH3GM1X harness retains XM and connects to the XM tuner.

-Non-Navigation radios must have a "CAT" button on the faceplate.

-Compatible with navigation radios for the applicable vehicles listed above.

-Compatible with existing factory CD changer

-Not Compatible with 2008 GM vehicles.

-*In some late production 2007 Escalades GM switched to the 2008 model radio, so the PXDP3 may not be compatible in some 2007 Escalades with the new 2008 model year radio.

He just wants to get some of his money back. He paid $140 + $12 shipping, realistically I hope he gets about $100.

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade here, but... I bought one of those PXDP3's last year, right after I got my 2007 Sierra Denali. I had the same "not all functions appear" problem. I was eventually told that "I may need a newer version."

The seller didn't have a newer version and Peripherals kept sending me back to the seller. After exchanging the module and the harness and it still didn't work, I finally fussed enough to get my money back. If you have a 2007 Sierra or Silverado w/ Nav, though, I would be cautious about buying it, because it will likely not have all the functions for you, either...

Sorry, Dzyuba, but after my experience with that product last year, I couldn't not say anything.

If you're asking me, I don't know. I think the ones I tried were either defective or otherwise incompatible with the stereo/nav in my truck. I couldn't get that to work right, so I have no clue what the steering wheel controls would do. Go check out their website. I believe there is info on there about the requirements for a non-NAV setup.

That's cool Michael, no offense taken. I am just trying to be nice and help sell something that someone bought mistakenly per my recommendation.

I recommended this product based on my good experience with the product, I can't say the same for Peripheral, the company itself. Mine controls the iPod through the steering wheel controls, shows albums, artists, playlists, genre and displays text on the radio (only English text though as Russian didn't display).

Since it worked on my truck I recommended it to my coworker and it ended not being compatiable with 2008 vehicles. When he was getting it installed, the installers called Peripheral and they said he needs to buy the newer PXAMG. I went to their website and tried looking up products for my vehicle and they list the PXAMG for my 2007. So technically I am using the wrong product in my truck. I can see where he might need the PXAMG for his 2008 but according to them that is what I need as well. It is just their way of making more money by dropping support of their older products and pushing their newer ones. There was nothing wrong with the previous one but companies make money by selling product not supporting existing products (kind of like Microsoft).

Dzyuba : No worries! I read one or two posts on message boards that indicated that the radio/NAV systems "may" have been updated (by GM) mid-year 2007. When I contacted Peripherals, they had no knowledge of that. So, maybe the PXAMG was a response to the new-model radios w/ NAV.
