hey there guys, need some help please. i have been reading for almost two weeks now and i wanna make sure i have everything i need to make my swap go smooth.

i have a 2004 crew cab silverado with bose non lux, onstar(non subscribing but want it available), 6 disc rear radio control and rear roof mounted panasonic dvd.

i am installing a alpine iva w205 head unit and blackbird pmd b200 navi.

this is what i think i need so far,

pac swi jack for steering wheel controls,

pac cm1 for warning door chimes,

pac os 2bose for onstar.

does this sound right? also will i still be able to use the sound system for panasonic dvd system or will it only work with wireless head phones? im pretty sure i will loose the rear radio controls but no biggy.

and finally is there a easier or better way than what i have come to learn from info on here?

thanks in advance

I would check with cruchfield.com They might have see something you missed. Plus if yuo get stuck and need help they have toll free tech support. Sorry having trouble trying to get the link. Good kuck. Take pics.

Agreed. Once you figure in all the free stuff they throw in and the fact they can help you install it over the phone or online... it's a pretty good deal. Especially if you're not a 100% comfortable doing it yourself.

they said i needed a pac module that was for older gm and i had a great deal on unit already so the product from cruch would cost me 240 but i got everything for 190 from ebay plus they said they werent sure if i could still use the panasonic rear seat dvd and a local said it would be no problem just some wires. thanks

il take pics when everything comes in and goes in..
