Im new to this forum and im hoping to get some advise on rebuilding my tranny. I have a 2001 HD2500 GMC CC, its has about 155,000 miles on it has been a great truck. The only problem ive had with it was the fuel sending unit going out at about 60,000. Anyway the tranny is slipping when it shifts from 1-2. Ive changed the filter and flushed the tranny myself 3 times since 100,000 the only thing in the pan has been clutch particals, not alot though. my question is how hard is it to put a rebuild kit in it and what kind of special tools would need? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No offense but if your on this fourm asking for advice on how to rebuild a transmission, then I would NOT even try it.

Transmission are probably the most difficult things to do. I can't answer your question any more than I wouldn't even think of trying it if you've never done one before.

Even with the knowledge, without the correct tools, some clutches are very difficult to work on. They can even be somewhat dangerous. Mark.
