2008 Feeling The Road

Recommended Posts

does anyone else find they feel every bump or ripple in the road through the steering wheel. I find the steering alittle better in my 2005 than the 2008. The mechanic at the dealer said its the nature on the nbs , I hoped that it would be better to drive than the old body style. Now after 2700km i still cant get a feel for it.

Do you have the 20" wheels with the 275/55R20 tires? If so, dump them!!!

Check your tire pressure. Mine came of the lot with 50 PSI. I felt the ants that were on the pavement when I drove over them. I'm down to 35 front 30 rear for when I'm empty. I'll raise them up when I start pulling the trailer this summer.

do you have lt tires, that dam tms send error message when i put presure below 38psi, the dealer said there was no way to change the threshold of the tms.

BS!!! I had mine changed by my dealer. It's done using the Tech2 and it's stored in the RDL module (Remote Door Lock Module). Cost me $65.

By dump them, he means send them to him. Jeff said he misses having REAL wheels.

Ouch Jeff!

I have 275-55-20 Pirellis and the ride is excellent. Much better than the 18s I had on my last truck. Difference is the tires.

Sorry, my bad, I meant the 275/55r20 Crapyear Eagle LS2's that come from the factory on the 20's

I've got nitrogen in my tires and they come with a warranty and they cover the costs of deflating, resetting TPMS and also reinflating. BTW don't believe all the hype about nitrogen. I'm gonna leave it in there until this warranty runs out, then back to air.

I have the factory 20's on two denali's and agree the goodyear ls2's on the sd are pretty bad compared to the bridgestones on the wifes yxl. will change to those after the ls2's wear out, which is happening very quickly. another thing i've learned, if you have the factory 20's, is a better ride is had by actually raising the pressure from the recommended 30psi to about 35 to 37. backwards i know, but it seems to work well.
