Hi guys, I have had my 2500HD with the 6.0 in it for five years now. I love the truck and now want to put a cold air intake, Electric fans, and exhaust. With so many chooses out there, I was wondering what is the bets in those products and any problems with any. Thanks guys

Personally I would go with the Flex-A-Lite E-fans. As for inatke and exhaust, I have ran K&N and Airaid, I was not really partial to one or the other, and Im sure there are much better out there. I also run flowmaster, but like i said, there is much better im sure, i just dont know exactly what brands...Just my .02 cents

I'd go with the Flex-a-lite fans. As for intake just get a good flowing air filter that filters good. You can get an Airaid intake tube to help out. And on my 98 gasser I had some dual flowmaster super 40s that I had a muffler shop weld up for me. Don't change the back pressure from the engine to the cats, just do a cat back to get the exhaust away from the cats.

Do a search, there have been TONS of topics about this already.

....and you will find out that they are all the same-so I decided that none were worth it.

If you haven't done a PCM tune do this first. I like Volant CAI with extra scoop. The E fans I would only use the factory set up. The exhaust is the last thing I would do as they breath well. This is my opinion as you asked for, others I'm sure will have there own. Good luck.

I am new on here but have delt with alot of GMT800s. The cheapest mod that actually makes a improvement on MPG and HP. Is a new Air intake tube. I prefer the Airraid M.I.T for its plasic construction and abilty to be install with both aftermarket airboxes as well as factory.

I have installed this on both a 4.8L and a 5.3L both with noticeable results.

I'm partial to the True Flow intake and filter go to their site and see the filter in action, since changing it. It has more pep and am now getting around 14 mpg on an 06 2500 4x4 6.0l before it was around 12.

Fans. Not sure cause 05+ come with them factory. But I see Flex-A-Line mentioned alot in here.

Intake. GM trucks intakes are great as is, they aren't restrictive and draw in the cold air well. But a True Flow air filter would be a great investment to help it breathe much better. The AirAid induction tube also helps a little bit but its not really worth the investment to me.

Exhaust. All I have to say is I LOVE MINE! Have a listen.

I like the Flowmaster sound, its a decent muffler that sounds good. I favor the Super 44 out of all of Flowmasters mufflers.
