Its a seamless installation. Everything will work: voice commands, steering controls, name tags, call display on your dashboard. Its by far the best mode I've done on my Sierra.

Did you try registering new VCIM with On*?

If yours is the same as the rest of us your Blue On* button will ring for ever, then when you hit the red emergency button they answer and you ask for tech support.

Then you tell them you have done a VCIM swap and you need the new VCIM activated so they try a software download and will probably say the truck is giving them an error so take it to the dealership.

Im interested to see what you find......

looks like your parts are right but most dealers wont sell you the VCIM as its restricted by GM

Only Fire, Theft or Warranty claim with a 2009 or newer VIN will be accepted. Ebay is your best bet.

When you buy the steering wheel switch all you are really paying for is the symbol painted on the switch, your older switch will do the job.

Maybe buy that later if you really want it.

That part number is pretty hard to come by now and often goes for more than $400 on eBay. You can use part #20756237 and it will do everything the other part# does and you can find it on eBay for $199+s&h.

Yup. Ebay is your best bet. This guys includes the bluetooth antenna:

Here

Piece of cake install.

Plug and Play, no programming necessary. The "Talking Head" button answers the phone, the down arrow disconnects.

Which part# module did you use? The only parts I was aware of that worked were 20783877, 25984444, and 20756237. I'm sure there are probably others but those are the only three I've heard of that definitely work.

There might be something plugged in wrong.... or... did you try the "power" button on the mirror itself that turns this function on/off?

I installed the 237 module and had no problems. My mirror temp/compass works fine.
