4x4 In 1/4

does anyone have an idea what my ex. cab short bed 4x4 with a 5.3 would run in the quarter mile, i have volant cai, magnaflow exhaust, dynatech longtube headers, and a nelson tune on stock tires.....also how much would it cut me back if i went up to 285's from the 265's that are on there?

thats funny dude my truck was almost set up like that before minus the nelson tune. I had a hypertech and i was getting high 16s.....same set up with the zex 75 shot kit was like 14:60 best run i got. I actually have a dyno chart as well but now with the diablo tune i would like to know how much my numbers have changed. Honestly the Dynatech and the Cosa gave me about an honest 30hp and about 19 at the rear wheels.

 

your tire question, i seeing about 3 tenths of a second off but again i got to post my g-tech up here, realy to show some real numbers.

No point in guessing times but if it breaks 15's I would be suprised. Why dont you run it and find out!!!! Eliminates all guess work

ran it this weekend, my best time was 15.42

Funny how this guy's got long tube headers, exhaust, cai, nelson tune and goes 15.42 (sorta like we thought). then theres another thread of a guy with a "totally stock" 6.0L that went 14.7... :(

Nice runs fireman32 14 ! That would be me, go figure who would think the 360hp max is faster than a 5.3. Svensk your not to far from me i see.

The reason why I say that is because I've driven a v-max stock and the nannies GM has in place absolutely neuter it. 4 second WOT delay, obscene torque mgt., abuse mode and not to mention the horrible throttle response from the drive by wire. Now you get rid of this stuff and change timing tables, increase shift points I can see 14.7 from a 6.0L with a tune. You can't even spin the tires in a stock drive by wire truck.

Yep, gotta have something to save these so called "transmissions". Weaksauce...I fear the day mine goes. Then to buy an expensive built one thats not garounteed. 4l60's are less reassuring than Speedway's bathroom 25c machine condoms.

My torque converter is going south...When it engages and I accelerate in OD about 45mph it really vibrates/shakes a bit. I don't like it.
