2008 Gmc Sierra 2500hd Stampede Edition

A GMC dealer by me is selling a GMC 2500HD Sierra with a diesel that has a "Stampede" package on it. It is an $18,200 option. It has a suspension lift kit, 20" wheels and tires, custom leather interior, badging, a new chrome front grill, and a few other things. The GMC dealer sends out the truck and it is modified at a company in Georgia. They have a Sterling package on a 1500 Sierra as well. The price of the truck is $65,900 with the options. I was wondering if any of you have seen a truck like this. The truck was $47,000 and then the $18,000 options were added. I was also wondering how much markup would be on options that they are charging $18,000. Thanks

That truck sounds sick, if you can get them post some pics. 18000 sounds pretty expensive, but we need some more info, how big a lift, I'm assuming they're aftermarket rims and good tires, what's involved in the custom leather? Branding? Imprinting? The custom badges I could see being pretty pricey on there own too. Where is this dealer? The freight out to georgia could contribute to price too. And welcome to the forums!

On another note, who keeps rating perfectly fine topics poorly?

all I had to hear was $18,000 additional dealer add ons..... I would turn my head and look the other way... for $18000 I could have done way more than just some 20s, lift kit, leather and a grill lol!!! badging??? emblems cost like $50 for a set of custom ones.. For $65 get urself a denali with the 6.2 and do whatever you want with the extra $20K or just buy an Escalade truck... IMO

(side note-- not a fan of any ratings on any post either. what is not interesting to some could be very intersting to someone else)

My truck was customized by Southern Comfort conversions in Alabama. The setup on my truck didn't have a name, but did cost an extra $13k. The price wasn't itemized, but the majority was the custom paint and labor per the dealer. Some might think it's not worth it, but my add-ons were a bedrug and tonneau...I'm done! Long gone are my days of customizing my truck one piece at a time over many years! Also, everything is covered 100% under the gm warranty. The dealer is replacing one Pro Comp wheel due to pitting. That was a great selling point for myself.

I'm not to sure. however the dealership close to me has a gmc that fit that description. man that thing is nice... its so tall it looks like u need a ladder to get in it. I'm pretty sure. something like that is an exclusive package. the dealership also has a "street" package on a sierra. come with 20" rims chrome handles and covers and a hidious body kit. I'm sure that truck is badass but 18K! that's the cost of a single cab... like mentioned before 6.2 denali fullyloaded is the way to go.. drop all the same mods and still have 15K left over..

but if you got the bones and that's what u want go for it..

Black..........You took the words right out of my mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only assume those prices are Canadian cash!

Heres the Southern Comfort site link:

Anyhoo...........The Stampede edition is NOT made by Southern Comfort Conversions!

It is done by DC Conceptz near Atlanta !

Pics and a link to a 07 chevy stampede in the next post...................................

$18,000 worth of "upgrades"? Seems a bit "fishy" to me. I agree...better be more than a puny lift kit and 20's for that kind of money! Better be loaded with every electronic gadget (stereo, cameras, nav, video game systems, plasma tv's), super charger and a personal chauffer too!

What's with that Southern Comfort company!? Is it just me, or did nearly EVERY lifted truck on thier gallery look the same!? They all had the exact same paint scheme and wheels on them!? Maybe it's their comapny theme or something!? Seems to me that someone would go out on a limb once in a while and come up with different paint scheme & wheel / tire combo. There's only about 2,000+ custom wheels on the market right now to choose from, and endless paint schemes.

Anyway, enough ranting...I wanna see pics of this $70,0000 Stampede truck too!
