Smoke Out The Exhaust

In the mornings my 2000 gmc sierra whith 185,000 miles shoots a puff of smoke out the pipes... during the day when i accelerate it will do it also!! just a little puff though nothing that last more that a few seconds. is it just the valves leaking????

Perhaps if you post more info, like engine size and color of the smoke.

Sounds like valve stem seals... or a little valve guide wear. Unless you have excessive oil consumption, it isn't something to worry too much over. Obviously, it indicates that a little repair work might be down the road.
