How To Find What Model Number You Need For A 2008 Silverado LT1?

 

And does anyone know a website that shows pictures of the install from a non-Bose system to get NAV system?

good luck changing over there is alot of stuff you need to do to get it to work, i would go with aftermarket

If you go with after market do you lose onstar, XM and Wheel controlls?

No, you would not lose the Onstar if you get the wiring harness adapter...As for XM, you may be able to reuse the antenna but your radio ID would change. I have a Pioneer AVIC-D3 nav setup and my Onstar still works.

I'm also curious which model number should be purchased for a non-Bose '08.

Eltonmc, you say he helped, could you elaborate? I think there are alot of people in the same situation as you (Like me) that would like to do the upgrade but nobody seems to have ever completed it and posted how.

This guys company sells brand new Factory Nav and set it up for your truck vin number.... They are very $.

So I decided to go with the AVIC-D3 which is on sale at Best Buy this week for 699.99 did the install in about an hour and kept steering controlls and onstar...... I will post pics if anyone would like to see.
