Security Light

Hey all. I have a question about my '99 chevy silverado w/ 5.3L. When the engine is running and going down the road, suddenly the security light will come on and all my lights will shut off (headlight, instrument panel, radio, etc.) I will have to restart the engine for it to go away. Some days it will do this, some days it is just fine. Anyone ever ran into something like this?? What could I be looking for? Something with the BCM?? Thanks in advance for any help!

When my truck was under warrenty, I had some hard start problems, and once the HVAC stopped working until I restarted the truck. They replaced the ignition switch and I've never had either problem agin. The switch is directly related to the security feature. Mark.
