Rain, Rain, Rain--Go away!!!!!

Man,

I'm getting sick of rain. Are you guy's getting it too? I'm from North West Wisconsin and were getting pounded. Monday night we had a storm and high winds that caused a bunch of damage to trees and houses (not like Houston though).

Where are you from and are you getting this?

Bummer.

It was 90 and sunny all day yesterday and today in Western PA. It's going to cool down 10-15 degrees this weekend but still I think winter has finally gone!!! Ten days ago I was running the furnace because the highs were only 60!!!

We got some good rain in Pensacola, FL this weekend. Now just a good shower in the afternoons. I love it. But I feel for you guys in Houston. Good luck.

I feel sorry for you guy's down there. Is the water starting to go down a bit? I heard that you'all got some 13 inches in a real short time. Is that right?

I'm about 10 miles esat of Houston and we got 14.84" from late friday night to saturday morning alone.

If you were to go about 15 miles north of where I am,they got 26.50" during the same time period.

Totaly rainfall amounts easily topped 30" in some places around town.

Been muggy and about a 50/50 split of clouds and sun here in Northcentral PA. Glad to see it's finally warming up. If it's gonna be cold, there'd better be snow on the ground as far as I'm concerned.

Rain sucks, I'm sick of it. With the exception of one day where four inches fell, all of it has been coming in one inch showers. Here on the farm that equals no work getting done, the past few days have been really tiring making up for lost time.

It could be worse, the rain could have come in big storms, but it didn't. Gotta look on the bright side I guess.

Amazing how 95 degree weather cooks all the water off pretty fast though, went from mud to dust in two days here.

You didn't happen to get your first cutting of alfalfa done, and have it start raining with all your hay on the ground did ya? Thats what happened to my cousin. And to top it off, he still had some planting left to do for some other people. It finally dried up, so the last two weekends I was working hay from about noon, until after midnight while he was planting atleast that long. Gets very tiring, especially when you have 45 minute drive home afterwards....

Started the first cutting the day I got back from NC on May 29, finished yesterday. Only one field didn't get rained on. Saturday I baled a field that was pure mud, never thought I'd be using a 4WD tractor to pull the baler through standing water, but it had to be done. I sure hope the next cutting isn't like this, Dad and I have had enough of this for the summer.

I always wash my hay before I bale it!!! It seems you can watch the weather and you can't find rain until I start cutting hay and then it rains every two or three days for about a week, but that means I'll get to do it again.
