I own a 4x2 and i am about to sell it ,i am thinking about buying a 4x4 now ,Is it smooth driving as the 4x2???

My 4x2 drives like a cadillac...

the 4x4 has the 3.73 gear ,it will be faster than mine 4x2 3.42 ???

My opinion is go drive a few of them, and see if the ride turns you off. Then if it doesn't, rent one for a weekend, and see if the gas mileage difference isn't too high for your driving style, then if all that is fine with you, and you can afford it, go for it. It doesn't pay for you to be unhappy in a vehicle. If you're not too far in the hole with this one, get out of it while resale value is still relatively high on it.

I know this is an unfounded, for lack of a better word, fear of mine, but I personally don't want a 4x4 because I don't want the transfer case to break on me. I'll just stay with my 2wd, and maybe in the future, if I ever need it, I will buy one, but for the time being, I'll stick with what I got.

I have had 4 x 4's in the past so this time I thought I would try a 4 x 2 and so far driving in snow I've had no problems (yet).... :) ..........better on gas too

My 4x4 is smooth as can be, albeit on the stock Goodyear tires. I wish I could make due with a 4x2, but I need four wheel drive just enough that I couldn't be without it: towing/hauling off road, snow/ice off road in winter.
