Headlight Removal

Hey guys, I'm looking at installing my HID kit I just got, but taking a closer look at it last night, I realized it's pretty hard to get down there to install the bulbs (Low-beams) I was wondering if any of you who have installed the HID kit on you NBS Sierra have any tricks to doing this, or is it just easier to take off the headlight and do it. If so how do you get the headlight off? It looked like there where two screws up top holding it in place, but once those where removed it still felt as if it was being held in there.

Any help would be great! I'm excited to get these bad boys installed!

There is a hidden screw down below. Some have said that you have to pull the grill, and the valance between the headlight and the bumper. I have also read that you can get to it if you remove the front fender skirts.

I just got my skinny brother in law to wedge his arm between the headlight and the windshield washer bottle on the drivers side and I had to remove the airbox on the passenger side.

I don't know about the sierra but I know its much easier to pull the grille and lights on my Silverado. Its really the only way to change the signal bulbs. I have done it so many times now that I can do it in less than 5 minutes.

I've found the easiest way to do it is to first remove the top 2 screws then remove enough fasteners at the front of the fender well to pull it back and get your hand up there and remove the 3rd 10mm screw. I've done it once without removing the grille which does make it slightly more difficult but is easier than taking off the grille all together. I'd deffinatley recommend laying down some masking tape along your bumper as well becuase you'll be doing some jiggling and shaking to get em' out.
