This muffler sounds awesome  . Its got a true hot rod rumble to it. I have always had FlowMaster 40 Series on my trucks, but i wanted something a little louder without losing the tone and throatyness. And this my friends is the Muffler that does it. Its as loud if not louder then a single chamber, but it does not have the tin can and popping sound.

Oh no, dont get me wrong these things still pop when u let off or are coasting. But anybody who has heard a single chamber exhaust knows what i mean when i say tin canny. It looses a lotta tone and growl i think when you go to a single chamber.

SOUND BITE.... YOU FORGOT THE SOUND BITE ... :D

Does it drone at highway speeds, or does it leave the cab relatively quiet??????

I've been trying to decide between a 50 series, or something a little more agressive....

My 50 series has almost no drone, and its still a hearty sound when you get on it, 1800+ rpms, and its there but humble at very low rpms, but you still can tell you have a v8. Id just go for a 50, the 40s and 44s are just obnoxious and drone machines in my mind.

I had a 50 series on a previous truck, and I liked it. I was thinking the 40s were a little too much for me, but never had one. I like a low rumble that lets folks know you have a V8, but not so obnoxious as to drive me nuts over time.

I AM interested in a sound bite of the 40s though.

A 40 series or a 44 is going to be loud, obnoxious, and drone central. Ive been in trucks with 40 series, and they drive me crazy. And im only 17. I cant imagine what a 40 series can do to a older person.

Dont get me wrong though, a 50 series does make noise, like from 1600+ it starts to get louder with every 100 rpms on a 5.3 from 1500 down its pretty humble. All up to you. When I get a new truck, I wont hesistate to go back to a 50 series.

I think drone spoils a exhaust. I have no problem with loud, but loud and drony i do lol.

Im not busting on you for being old, my dad had a 01 f250 with a 40 series that drove him bonkers, he is 51 now, but now he has a duramax/allison that is so quiet he can barely tell its running most of the time.

i think i had the worst drone ever with my old truck, since i had stacks on a reg cab it was always super loud and a really bad drone it was like being in a airplane for a while and it would mess with your ears if you drove like 30 miles
