Remote Wire

Installed a pac system on my stock deck, wheres the best place to hook up the remote wire, seeing you cant to the deck being a relay inside the deck......? Any one know what color the ignition wire is on the key?

ok so if your talking about a remote turn on lead for your amp. tap into your fusebox. you stick the wire into the slot for the fuse and then reput the fuse in. the fuse hold the wire in place. o and dont forget to add an inline fuse and a switch to power the amp on and off. i used a house lightswitch. haha my friends think its sweet. (im 17) if you dont use a switch your battery will be dead after a few days. hope this helps

If you lookin for a remote wire to turn on and off with the igintion see the following:

 

Just find any switched fuse in your fuse panel. No need for an in line switch since it will be already switched by the ignition. You will have to use a voltmeter or test light and test some fuses that are on when the truck is on and off when it is off.

yah i didnt want to screw around with ignition wires so i didnt blow anything, probably wouldnt but who knows. So i got a AOEM-GM1416 converter by PAC, it plugs into the deck and the facory wires plug into it, and theres 4 rcas coming out of it, they way i had it set up they guy at the store said was crap, it only puts out 1.5 volts or something where this puts out 6 volts, sounds amazing and turns on when deck turns on and turns off when you open the door and the stereo shuts off not when you shut off the key like with a ignition wire, the only problem now is i have to adjust my crossover and bass boost on my amp and its bolted behind my seat and have to unbolt my seat again to tune it haha.
