Driver Side Blowing Very Hot Air (a/c Intermittent)

Hello. The other day, while traveling on I-95 heading into South Carolina, my driver side A/C began to blow very hot air, no A/C. The passenger and rear A/C was working, but due to the hot air on the driver side I had to shut it down. When I got to Charleston, SC I took it to the dealer who performed a reprogram. I'm still down here in SC and today it happened again. I took it back to the dealer, they said it was low and refilled the A/C system. I doubt they fixed this problem. Usually when you shut off the truck and turn it back on it starts blowing cold again. No rhyme or reason to when the driver side begins to blow hot air. I am driving back to NJ in a couple of days. Does anyone have any ideas why just the driver side A/C is failing?

Had similar happen to my 2003 Silverado, except it was the pass. side. Recall it being an actuator???, but not for sure as I don't have my records with me. The dealer I took it to knew right off what it was. It was intermittant, then stayed that way. Been fine for 30k now.
