My 2007 NBS Vortec Max came with the 17 inch alloy wheels since it was not a Z71. I noticed early this spring that there was some corrosion under the clearcoat. I showed them to the service manager at Quirk Chevrolet, where I bought it, two weeks ago. He found corrosion on all 4 wheels. They are being replaced next Saturday under warranty, no cost to me. He told me that he has seen some others do this. Initially GM tried to refurbish them but they did not meet his expectations. I highly recommend anyone in Maine to use this dealer in Bangor or Portland.

I had the same problem with the 20" wheels on my 07 Silverado. My dealer replaced all four and told me GM knows about this problem. I`m Glad you have a good service department to work with like I do.

Of course they know about this problem. They know that GM is having these wheels made in fricken CHINA!!!! Gee, problems with Chinese-made wheels? BIG surprise!!!
