8100 Power Upgrade Ideas

hi i have a 2003 8100 4x4 coupled to a zf 6 speed manual.

i use it primarily on the farm and go to truck pulls with my 32 chevy. i haul the pulling truck in a 40' enclosed goose neck. in total i weigh about 20000-23000. i was very impressed with the power i just want more of it. with the fuel prices today more mpg gallon is always good too can you do both any ideas would be appreciated

Well for mpg and power go with a aftermarket program in the ECM. You can start out with a handheld like superchips or hypertech. They go for a couple hundred bucks on ebay. Make sure you get one specific to your vehicle. IF you want to go a lil further go with a custom tune from westers or wheatley you will find reference to it on this forum. Other ideas would be a free flowing exhaust. Start there and see how you like it.

ONE WORD W H I P P L E , 150 hp, bolts on, ditch the auxillary fuel injectors system, dropping in bigger injectors and getting a WESTERS TUNE, heard of a guy thet did this to his 454, gets 11mpg towing and 14-15 mpg normal driving, i`m so jelous!!!

P.S. yeah this might be a bit extreme, i like it that way!
