Ight, i got the the 6 disc, xm, onstar, and rear flip down dvd system in my silverado, and i want to get the indash dvd/ nav system. ive been looking thru the post about the RPO codes and still cant seem to grasp it all. So far ive seen where people have said to look for; Y91, UQ7, and a few others.... The only one ive found is UQ7 in my codes. Now from what ive gathered, this means i have the non lux model and that escalades and den only have the lux models, i want to know whats the diff in the non lux and lux models, and if the UQ7 is the only code i need to find? Also if i should expect any problems hooking the upgrade up? I havent bought anything yet, but i wanna make sure i get the codes figured out first so that i buy the correct one. I believe ill need to get the ant of course and the map disc... and i do need to get the plug and play ones with no codes so i dont have to go to the dealer to unlock it right? anything else i should need? like maybe a different wireing harness?? I think ive read where some people experienced some speakers not working... and

Thank for all the help, i know if i cant figure things out on my own i can come here and ask all of you, sorry if this has been cleared up before but ive gotten a head ache looking thru everything so far.

ok no help?

You don't want Y91...that is the Luxury Version of the GMT 800 Navigation System found in the Escalade/Denali Trims......however I can't help you with what RPO Code you might need for the Headunit, just as long as you get one without the Y91 or Y92 Code you should be just fine....best thing to do is just get a Headunit that is Advertised on Ebay or from somewhere like JP Customs that doesn't need to be Programmed at your Dealership.....that is what I did on mine, and it was pretty much Plug and Play....I had an 04 Chevy Halfton Crew with UE1(OnStar), UQ7(Bose 7 Speaker System), the Rear Seat Entertainment, Steering Wheel Controls, and XM. Everything was pretty easy install, you will need the VSS Wire which runs from the back of the Radio to the Gauge Cluster, and also need to install the Nav Antenna under the Dash....basically I think all this buzz about the programming is for us GMT-900 guys, as I know mine did have to have some reprogramming for the Radio and Backup Camera.

hey thanks, im still up doing some looking. I kinda came to the conclusion i didnt need the ones for Y91 and Y92 code, and i have found ones with the UQ7. As you had, i have the UEI aswell. About the only thing im wondering is if theres a specific part number i can get if anyone has one and whats the difference between delphi and delco? Kinda what im learning is the delphi and delco are both suppliers to gm, but i was wondering why both or if one is the actual certified gm supplier?
