06 Silverado Speakers Signal

Hi i have a 06 Silverado Crew Cab and i want to know the type of signal of the front and rear speakers.

are both full range?

I replaced my stock speakers with kenwoods, and there seems to be full signal with the "standard" cd player - although I have heard in several placed that there is a progressive attenuation of bass as you crank the unit to max volume.

Yes, both are full range.

 

Yes, the stock head unit has a processor that attenuates bass levels at higher volume, to keep the cheap stock speakers from blowing.

Right now i have my stock stereo (single cd player) but i add Boston Pro 60 components front and rear with boston GT42 amp and 2 diamond audio 10" subs with Alpine amp but now i know why the subs doesnt sound to much. is there anything i can do to eliminate this processor from the oe stereo?

There are things like the Rockford Fosgate 360.2, but I'd have to say you'd be better off getting an aftermarket headunit.
