Quick question... Don't you only have like 5000 miles on that thing? You can't really be driving enough to actually need a guard, can you? Is it just something you want to do for looks or are the few miles you drive just extremely rough miles?

I'm not telling the guy he can't have one, I'm just asking if he needs one for chips or if he just likes the looks. I hate them, personally. I only have 11000 miles on mine and I never take it down gravel roads so I don't worry about it too much. A chip here and there over time is worth not having one of these atrocities on the front of my truck. They only cover a few inches anyway. My '91 had as many chips on the grill and hood as it did the front lip of the hood. If a guy drives a lot of miles or on a lot of bad roads, well, then it makes perfect sense to have one. I was just trying to understand his desire for one.
